Hi! I'm Mrs. McLaughlin!
Teaching is one of my biggest passions! I am so excited to work with your child. It is going to be a year of fun learning and lots of adventure and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Mark. We have two sons, {Brooks} who is 6 and will be in 1st grade, and {Harris} who is 4 and will begin preschool. They take up most of my free time, but some hobbies that I enjoy are cooking, fitness, and reading.
I grew up in a Syracuse, NE. I attended kindergarten - 12th grade there. I then attended college in Kearney at UNK. I graduated from college in 2006. In December of 2013, I received my Master’s Degree in PreK-12 reading from UNK.
This will be my first year teaching 4th grade at Palisades, and my 14th year teaching. I absolutely love teaching 4th grade. It is my mission to instill a love of learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for each subject so my students develop a desire to become life-long learners. Please let me know if you have any questions. It is so important to keep the communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together.
A few of my favorites!
Color - purple & green
Season - fall
Food – dark chocolate
Drink - chai tea
Book - Harry Potter by JK Rowling
Sport - football & baseball
Looking forward to a fantastic 4th grade year!
